The Battle of Algiers 1966
Great production with some really well constructed sequences with nice cinematography and lighting--but it has no character. A bit of a let down bc it makes it hard to engage with the whole thing. Obviously the movie is sympathetic to the Algerians, but none of them are really developed character wise.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The more I think about it the more I feel that this movie offers me nothing.
It all clicked for me with the final moment of the movie: Art serves the winning point and is embraced by Patrick while Tashi yells "Come on!."
This last part is obviously a throw back to earlier in the movie, when Art and Patrick first see Tashi play tennis, and she yells the same thing after scoring a point. She later tells the boys…Translated from by -
