Every new thing that Anna Kendrick does impresses me more than the last thing that she did that impressed me. This is a haunting movie, and the pacing, the editing, it’s all superb.

Looking for a Gen X cult film that has not aged well at all? Here you go.
The shock I felt rewatching what I remembered being a really funny but dark comedy is exacerbated by learning that there is a Broadway musical based on it, and in 2022, someone filmed “Heathers: the Musical” for Roku.
Oh, and I have been saying “greetings and salutations” since high school, well before Christian Slater said it in this movie. Just want to get that clearly articulated for the record.
