Nosferatu 2024
The film fails on a number of fronts: the acting is overwrought and unrefined, the jump scares add a regrettably tacky sheen on things, and it feels like it doesn’t know what it wants to be. However, there is something strange and unsettling about the vampire that really isn’t like any Dracula adaptation I’ve seen. There is something profoundly disturbing and sad at the center of this film that I can’t quite put my finger on yet.
