The first time I watched this, I was totally transfixed by Shirley MacLaine's beauty and sadness.
This time? All Jack Lemmon, baby. Is this one of the greatest performances of all time? The man somehow perfectly embodied pathetic loneliness and was a master of physical comedy at the same time. As a fellow pushover, I can only give C.C. "Bud" Baxter complete sympathy.
