Horrible soundtrack. Whole thing hinges on Nicole Kidman being both hot but past her prime but the movie doesn’t actually let her have a full blown midlife crisis. Litigious and detail oriented but about all the wrong things. Threatens to be sexy but is actually just sexless and confused. Pulls every punch.

Sweet, simple and sincere movie.
The modesty of such an Epic Tale is both it’s strength and weakness. Closer to poetry than novel.
