This is the first silent film I've seen, which kinda helped shape some ideas about silent films, I think that these kind of movies offer much more subjective experience to the viewer, it allows room for much more interpretation and self projection, like reading a universal poem.
I loved the direction, the frames, there was not a frame that wasn't magnificent and spellbounding. Everything was just like an elaborate meditation session.
So this movie isn’t like any other teenage movie, it’s one of the most fun stories that I’ve watched this year, a truly engaging journey about a young perfectionist who decides to get an abortion with the help of her former outcasted friend, she re-explores the people around her and grow to embrace the part of her that she hidden and felt the need to control it.
This story is about letting go and feeling beautiful through the tough circumstances, it’s honest, sweet, fun, and leaves you with a smile on in your heart. Love it!
This movie was very interesting- a bit of a slow burn but the ending was worthwhile, especially the last scene
everything worked as if it's a part of some divine plan which works with the film's main theme going around religion
however it can be viewed from many perspectives:
it's a story about a son and his father- and how the values that his father passed down to him ended up making him some sort of a hero figure
or…
A waiting for godot kind of setting
Two men setting around having conversation- yet their conversations are such a philosophical and mind beguiling bewilderment that set the watcher to have no choice but open their consciousness above what they have known all this time- such a fascinating ride that I am definitely revisiting again and again!
