Weird, hazy, dreamy, with a constant sense of winding dread, an incredible cast of character actors, all stylishly presented during the height of DePalma’s weird experimental days when he was borrowing from his own favorite directors and churning out absolute gems. Adore it.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
One of the most devastating films I’ve ever seen. Beautifully shot, incredible soundtrack, and such a visceral story about transness, identity, and repression. After sitting on it for a couple of days I realized it’s probably an all-time favorite movie. Everything about it is fantastic. Felt like I was beaten up by the end.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man 1989
Has there ever been a movie that so perfectly embodied pure, raw, hot, heavy, unprotected INDUSTRIAL? Surreal glimpses into a mechanized world of cold steel nightmares, the eroticism of machinery, a banging (literally!) soundtrack, horror and perversion intermingling to create this surreal and truly fabulous film.

The Matrix 1999
I mean, what can I say that hasn’t been said? Hard to compete with “The Matrix.” This movie blew my damn mind as a child watching it for the first time, and to this day every time I think about it I’m just filled with the same electric excitement it first instilled in me. I true feat of what film is capable of. Aesthetically the film equivalent of a 90s industrial music video, shiny black and unwaveringly cool, with still so much depth to dig into beneath the surface.
