With long takes and great transitions, director Paul Thomas Anderson keeps the momentum going. Every shot serves a purpose and is perfectly placed. The film's score also perfectly encapsulates the film's themes. Punch-Drunk Love is a fantastic rom-com that demonstrates how true strength comes from within and from those we choose to love.

Magnolia 1999
I could spend an inordinate amount of time expounding on this film's additional accomplishments, but I believe I can make do with simply doing my best to honor the heart of this work by assuring potential viewers that this is a masterwork of modern cinema and a powerful & beautiful celluloid dissection of questionable circumstance, overt acknowledgement, and personal responsibility.

Boogie Nights 1997
Thrilling Nights Even though the feature fluctuates a lot throughout the more than 150-minute journey, the adrenaline rush never wears off, and this is where it stands out; the sheer sharp and cunning script of it. Paul Thomas Anderson's name is all over the frame that is perfectly balanced on this character and plot driven feature where it would have been difficult to pull off such a powerful script if not for his execution.

There Will Be Blood 2007
Paul Thomas Anderson, the master of filmmaking, created one of the greatest films of all time. It really doesn't get any better than this. The scenery is reminiscent of sweeping westerns from yesteryear, and the acting and dialogue are equally sentimental. The offbeat musical score was great, and anyone looking for your typical character arks ending with the protagonist becoming better for the journey should look elsewhere.
