Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
A good film. There’s just a lot going on. I could handle the multiverse stuff better in cartoon form. It does really put Spider-Man back to square one by the end in so many ways. I hope they let us see a comeback in the future. I love a good underdog.

Turning Red 2022
I love a nerd and weird friends in middle school. This was also my life, but I never felt I could truly be myself. I think the Red Panda problem in the story gets at it in an interesting way, but I also understand turning POC characters into non-humans is a weird dehumanizing trope sometimes. I’m not sure where this lands on that scale. I did really appreciate a non-western religion being centered and a major part of the story.
