Time wasn't right. It was moving too fast. And then I was 19. And then I was 20. I felt like one of those dolls asleep in the supermarket. Stuffed. And then I was 21. Like chapters skipped over on a DVD. I told myself, "This isn't normal. This isn't normal. This isn't how life is supposed to feel."

The Bread and Alley was apparently the first film by Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami. While it feels in many ways a bit primitive, you can really feel the cinematography which would later evolve in classics like

(Where's My Friend's House), one of my favourite films ever.

Haha wtf, I was really looking forward to this adaptation. Unfortunately, big disappointment. The German 1922 original is in many ways the superior version. and also Germany as a country was founded in 1871. This film: Germany, 1838.

The most scary part was Lily-Rose Depp constantly whining with a Bridgerton English accent.
At least Willem Dafoe made it a little bit less embarrassing. The cinematography was also fine, but not enough to make up for the terrible casting and script.

This film just dethroned Columbus as my favourite architecture movie.
