I expected this film to not be for me, and for that to be okay. What I got instead was one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in years while also telling a message of womanhood and societies expectations of all people. Anyone who says this movie hates men are blinded by their own biases. This movie is for women, but sends a message that ALL people are enough and deserving on love and respect.

The Little Mermaid 2023
Giving young black girls another princess to love is admirable, but ultimately this movie feels consistently redundant or worse than the original. Only improvement was Ariel’s sisters diversity. The scuttlebut will go down in infamy as one of the worst songs added to a soundtrack.
