“I guess it’s okay for me to be happy.”
- Mickey Barnes
This movie holds space for so much.
Loved getting to have an IPH and debriefing time at Milkbread either J. These dates are core memories in the making.
Watched as a family at Redstone 14 and loved getting to journey the Amazon with Paddington. Appreciated the different vantage points and the closure this one provided.
Though this film was 3.5 hours long, I appreciated the pacing of the narrative. It didn’t drag to me, but instead, executed and evolved to tell the story and unveil pure evil so boldly. The evil, greed, wickedness of man wore many faces; and in Killers of the Flower Moon, the majority of faces had the widest grins and thick southern drawls.
Each character worked for the story, and each character struck you with different types of emotions and discomforts.…
Rewatching this movie several years later leaves me stunned. I remember countless scenes, but don’t remember witnessing the depths and emotions in each frame. This movie is…. Perfect? I was in tears at the end. Merry Christmas, everybody.
