Kamen Rider: THE FIRST 2005
I watched this movie looking for a quick way to get the basics of the original Kamen Rider series with some modern updates; but instead I got this boring slog of a movie. There’s some interesting ideas strewn about the film but for the most part it’s lackluster. The characters aren’t very interesting, the designs outside of Ichigo and Nigo are pretty boring to look at, some plot lines just kinda go nowhere, and of all things even the fights aren’t that great. If you’re looking for a fun tokusatsu movie to watch, this ain’t it.
