Stuck between over-dramatization and stark mumblecore. Could go further in either direction or find a way to calibrate the central drama (the revelation that meeting we’re having is simply a formality for something that is already happening under all your noses) more impactfully.

My favorite movie of the year for about an hour. Then…you could feel it in the room…it just fully deflates under the weight of some bizarrely complicated plotting that kind of does nothing but needlessly delay the inevitable showdown. Then tries to wrap it in a weird bow that the film doesn’t really set up and can’t earn.
Anyway. I’m overrating because I was kinda vibrating for a lot of this in a way I haven’t all year.
