  The docent salesman at INOX asked me if I wanted popcorn more times than I smiled this entire goddamn movie.

  I was hoping the "signal" was to drop the insect baby puppy in the cycler, ensuring the destruction of the humans at the hands of the native species. Would have been Unexpected, Upsetting, Delicious. It's what the humans deserved. It's what the creepers wanted. But what did we get? An ex-cop heading a soft colonial power.

  For the first time in 2 decades, I scrolled on my phone while dad watched the movie.
  2 stars for family bonding time, -1.5 for everything else.
  Also, who are the filmmakers fooling by casting Mudhol (?) hounds as stray dogs? #castdesidogs #tommyneedsajob

  Just watch (500) Days of Summer instead.

  I am so sick of stories from a writer's POV. When writers can't write about anything, they write about themselves. And any idiot with a computer calls himself a writer these days.

  None of the female characters have any depth, but the writer smoothly dodges the incel allegations by giving very little substance to the male characters as well (including the main one!) If I was mean, I would say…

  Holy classism, Batman! I understand old UC men going senile but a 30 year old woman being so crass and entitled around staff is fucking cringe as hell. A father talking about his daughter's sex life is not empowering, just creepy. All the while he is actively trying to keep her single- OMG the emotional incest. Or maybe rich Bengalis run in different circles.
