Simple but satisfying story of revenge, regret and trying to find redemption amidst the witchcraft and folklore of old apalachia.
I haven't seen this film in a long time, but was still impressed by it's ability to hold my attention and the folklore of this less common setting for a monster movie. Lance Henriksen is always great and really shines in this film.
Medieval family drama.
Everything felt intentional, in a good way. With the pacing, colour tones and views. The family interactions felt natural in between all the witchery. You really got a sense of the characters and their relationships.

This is a pyramid scheme of a movie. Once you've seen it, you need to talk about it. So you need to get your friends to watch it too so you can talk.
Like the Muppet Movies, crossed with Xanadu, plus more glitter, sequins and rhinestones than in Elton John's wildest dreams. This fantastically bizarre and quotable fever dream of a film is worth a watch, for curiosity and also the camp cult classic nature of it all.
