Unlike his other work the messaging in this adaptation is as subtle as a memory brick. The performances were on the most part great and the story was solid but I don't want to spoil what I loved most about the film. I wish this didn't feel like a trivialised take on Bong Joon-ho usual subject matter but that might just be me.

Really enjoyed this modern homage to 90s classic Friday. I was laughing throughout and nostalgia for the tropes in this movie added to the entertainment. This isn't for everyone but it worked for me.

A lot of time spent rehashing the first film. This could of been interesting but I wanted to see something new. The musical aspect could have worked but this film made me realise jukebox musicals aren't my thing. I didn't feel anything except bored which is disappointing and hopefully all involved move on to better projects.

Not the five star masterpiece that is Fury Road but a worthy sequel with excellent performances. The world is harsh, the characters are fearless and the tale is one of revenge. While I feel the film suffers from pacing issues I'm so glad to have witnessed this epic in all its IMAX glory and shame on you if you end up watching this on a plane :-)
