A wonderful film with amazing visuals, as usual for an Anderson film, but with a story that felt compelling from the onset.  Certainly worthy of a second viewing to grasp the inevitable details that could have been lost on a single viewing.

The ensemble cast was superb, and though some of the interactions were clunky ( as directed I’m sure), they pulled off the absurdity of the situations they found themselves in with great aplomb.

A definite must-see, for Anderson fans old and new.

This story on the life of Enzo Ferrari as he balanced the lives of his company, wife, and mistress proved to be interesting at best and confusing at worst.  The dialogue, at times, was difficult to follow as the actors struggled with Italian accents to give some sense of place to an American audience.

However, the racing scenes, and especially the immaculately detailed Ferrari race cars themselves, saved the film from a lower score.  Molto bene!

    Robert fookin’ Oppenheimer….

Beautiful movie in all respects. The acting by the major characters was absolutely superb. Hand out the Oscars to Cillian and Robert now.

The story, of course, was about the man and his brilliance and foibles, not the bomb. So some may consider that bit of a letdown, but the title after all was Oppenheimer.

Nolan again masterfully intertwined narratives with beautiful images to make a brilliant film.

    Huzzah!!
