i dont really know how to rate this. i think this movie accomplished what it had to and that's it.

i liked the heavily choreographed background characters and the cinematography. also props to the casting director. also i think i may never read this book so i apologize to tolstoy.

wish this was longer than 14 minutes and i wish i saw more set direction and production and maybe a sneak peek of costume design

and also wish they explained why they changed a bunch of parts in the book... every time i rewatch i just skip over cleo lol she was never meant to be there! beth was meant to lose to the russian at her best! and she was meant to call the orphanage for jolene (and decline speaking to shaibel before his death) which makes his death way more impactful because she had a chance to reconnect!!! his ten dollars too!
