So basically the Cornetto trilogy ends by adding Shaun of the Dead (zombies) and Hot Fuzz (town with a secret) together. I'm cool with that.

X-Men: First Class 2011
Well, now I'm really excited for Days of Future Past. Great chemistry between the two leads (on par with the Stewart-McKellen duo, an issue which could've destroyed the whole movie), a pretty interesting origin story and a nice tie-in to the historical period. Still got my gripes (Bacon's character fluctuated in interest, cliche' training montage, etc.) but I've got high hopes for the next one so, given the nice setup, here's hoping.

Pacific Rim 2013
Any time a giant-ass robot drags a tanker ship to a fight against an alien monster, is a WIN in my book. Holy Hollywood blockbuster. Didn't care much for the supporting characters (especially that god-awful scientific comic duo) - which is strange for a Del Toro flick - but who cares when we all know they're only filling the space between the fight scenes.
