  i really do love this movie, but it just left me wanting more! i wished to see more of ma and her tormenters in high school. the film really only showed one traumatizing event from her adolescence. i feel like seeing more of her backstory would have helped us understand her and empathize with her more. the same could be said for her daughter; she wasn't as relevant as she could have been. honestly, i think it would be great for a sequel!
