Dolemite Is My Name 2019
I just couldn’t get that smile off my face when the movie ended. Missing most of the cultural references was completely balanced by the energy of the cast and the honesty that shines out of each character. Plus the sets, costumes and soundtrack adding up to the mix. That’s just an excellent movie.

No Hard Feelings 2023
This easy romcom should have picked a line once and for all. The suspension of disbelief is hard to achieve throughout the movie, balancing between exaggeration, slapstick and more serious storytelling. Acting and direction were ok but the whole mix is not very convincing nor interesting.

That’s very very bad in terms of character design. Poor storyline, bad acting (or bad directing). The motivations of characters are so confusing, nothing is relevant. I hope they didn’t get profitable so they won’t make another series of movies.
