    Films like these remind us how much John Hughes, and therefore teen movies, have evolved.

    Everyone except Sam is quite unlikable. One guy is hollow, and the other is choke full of vile crap. And yeah, they ring a gong every time they cut to a Chinese character. Oh, they're also making fun of braces.

    So many beavers. Love it.

    It's a hundred-minute silent film that is 90 percent slapstick. After the first 10 minutes, I worried I'd be tired of it. I'm glad to be proven wrong.

    You are bombarded with slapsticks, not knowing they're the building blocks of something far greater, far more absurd. Each illogically logical cause-and-effect is established through hilarious repititions, and when combined, go someplace totally unexpected. A goldberg device of thousand Looney Tunes-esque visual gags.

    A genuinely moving drama. Deservingly sentimental, Rocky Balboa runs as deep as the wrinkles on Stallone's face.

    Rocky movies always worked as a semi-memoir of Stallone, and it works the best in this one. The weight of the character's history (blended with Stallone's) is sincerely utilized. While it's exceptional on its own, it sure does add a lot.
