Love Me No More 2008

An interesting take on the rich-man-stops-giving-a-fuck genre, though maybe not as gripping as it could have been. Couple of intense scenes in the first half but loses some steam afterwards - until it comes together in the last scenes.

Good casting choice for De Ruyter himself, but eh... The rest isn't really that great. His wife has one moment where she's an actual character and not just some thing at home that cries a lot. And she's on the poster for fuck's sake.
It's a historical film so I'm sure as hell going to compare it to actual historical facts. This is the Dutch Golden Age we're talking about. Then where the colonies? Where is the slave trade? Reiné…

The Smash Brothers 2013
I legitimately can't fully explain why I'm giving this 5 stars. It's just something inside of me that feels connected to these people, not because I've ever been in the competitive Smash scene myself but because it's a bunch of dorks that found something to bond over.
Never had I thought I'd be so emotionally touched by real-life people explaining their love for the game, for the tourneys, and for the friendships.
