I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I love A24 films, but I will be the first to admit they sometimes dance atop the line between thought provoking art piece and pretentious overly metaphorical pseudo-philosophy.
This one keeps on the thought provoking side of things. Though with any film that aims at being thought provoking they sometimes forget to also be entertaining.
Luckily “I saw the T.V glow” keeps you engaged through atmospheric lighting and staging choices. There is a palpable sense of liminality throughout the movie.…

Nosferatu 2024
I find Robert Eggers vision and directorial style to ooze with atmosphere. Nosferatu brings a palpable dread to vampire media that has been absent for some time.
Due to his love of long shots and tendency to linger on his stark visuals, some may find the movie to be feel a bit slower in its pacing. I personally judge movies based on how well I believe they delivered on what the creator intended, and not what I personally want.
