5.5 - This cast is outrageous. Purely incredibly sci-fi spoof. It was fun, but so ridiculously goofy and sometimes not in the best way possible.
The characters where caricatures of real life figures, the aliens were goofy but kind of adorable. The setting created in this movie reeks of idiocracy. But it is a blast.
8.3 - ITSSSS JOHNNY. Fantastic horror movie. I loved the ghost bartender and all of those scenes. The hedge maze is incredible. Poor chef :(
Overall, fantastic thriller, still holds up incredibly well. Kubrick's signature cinemotography is well recieved, so many of the shots are so artistically well done, especially the bathroom scene, loved the colors.
6.0 - I’ll start this review by saying that I didn’t get it. I know this movie has a cult following and is considered a masterpiece, but I just didn’t get it. Will be rewatching in hopes of a re review but as of now I really didn’t like it.
The characters weren’t great the plot wasn’t great everything was kinda meh.
9.1/10 - this movie is the ultimate sci-fi movie. It is a set in a grime future dystopia where the idea of humanity and the way we understand it is threatened. It is the ultimate exploration of humanity and what makes us more than artificial intelligence.
All the effects hold up incredibly well. Harrison Ford is probably one of the coolest people in the entirety of Hollywood.
