I think I can see what they were going for but that doesn't mean they got there successfully. A script that is incisive at some points, some complex but predictable characters but strong acting (which we all can agree on). Wish it said more. Wish it did less. Good but not great, though I'm excited to see how Eisenberg's voice develops

Beautiful cinematography and an earnest work, but all in all underwhelming and a little vague. Like a really well written ethnography with an incredibly ambitious parameter. Perhaps it was not trying to say anything at all, which would make sense, but if it were, then Human Flow would have been saying "migration exists" without concretely or substantively completing the sentence.

In the world we live in we don't have two-timing, memory-erasing specialists. But we still forget, and time is that precise and impartial tool with which we do the forgetting. Joel's trash bags remind me that we defiantly make each other memorable through the ordinary and the material. And that maybe as we pass through lives here and there we do not pass through, or become forgotten as composite wholes, but in disperse parts – in gestures, in notepads, in paintings, in song. It feels good to remember. It is the stubborn fate of those who love!

Has its moments. Kinda like Godard's Vivre Sa Vie but worse and has some freak shit going on with regards to sex work and the female body
