Why did Robert Pattinson sound like Woody Allen as Zee from ANTZ? I guess we’ll never know!

Thoroughly enjoyed the comedy and social commentary in this, not to mention it was refreshing seeing a leading man without the hyper masculinity.

Mickey 17 was definitely giving Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, iykyk.

I saw Spirited Away for the first time when I was eight years old. I’m now thirty and have watched Miyazakis magnum opus fifty times over. It’s hard to put into words how much this film means to me, how I cry every time, find comfort, rediscover beauty and learn something new. It’s a film that has had such a profound effect on my life and in the literal sense blew my mind from the very first watch. This is…

    Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

    ★★½

The positive reception towards this film is a true testament to the artistry of Fury Road. The cinematography is very inconsistent and at times looks b-grade. Not to mention the cgi sticks out like a sore thumb against some of the practical stunts.

Sadly the film also lacks tension as certain scenes linger on for far too long and is quite repetitive in it’s storytelling. Anya is a superb actor but was miscast, this shouldn’t have been made without Charlize; she MADE Furiosa.

A bit disappointed but at the same time I’m open to a rewatch in the future.

This one is for the lesbians and I couldn’t be happier!

Love Lies Bleeding starts off strong but doesn’t quite stick the landing. I would have loved to see Jackie develop past her steroid rage. However, this does not take away from the films strengths. The cinematography is mesmerising creating an atmospheric charm that emulates 1980s neo-noir crime thrillers, ‘Blood Simple’ immediately came to mind. Also Kristen Stewart was phenomenal, the chemistry between her and Katy O’Brian was off the charts. My jaw dropped many a time. This will definitely be a favourite 2024 film of mine.
