This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
After reflection, I'm pressed to think of what I actually liked about it. I think because this tries to tackle so many themes (environmentalism, self-actualization, the boundaries that should be placed on human advancement and technology), it's too afraid to let them breathe in their own right and instead apts to lay them as bare as possible.

The Joe Dante clears; i could have relished in that a-tier evil child performance for a little longer. Miller is runner-up, sweaty John Lithgow accurately portrays my exact experience of being on a plane. The Landis segment is hilarious in all its corn but made less fun when you realise Johnny boy killed three people (in a completely preventable way) for this midbrow fluff. The Speilberg segment is as sterile and lifeless as its subjects. The bookends to this are kind of hilariously straightforward too, no real setup to the small payoff, it's just kinda like "Wahh monster man!" and wow man, electrifying.
