bogus manufactured sentimentality that killed my interest in pixar for a near decade. inspired a new wave of saccharine kids films that were actually made for manchildren.

this was the first pixar film i saw since toy story 3 in 2010 and i just realized that film sucked so incredibly irreemably hard i just ignored pixar for 8 years. probably for the best! but this film is good. smarter than any marvel movie at least. they say damn and hell at one point which is badass.

Cedric the Entertainer plays Jake, a seemingly regular guy who has no idea who he is after being hit over the head by mysterious assailants. When he finds himself entangled in a government conspiracy, Jake and his pursuers become convinced that he is an undercover agent. I really liked this film. I watched it with my wife - she is biracial (French +Asian). Her name is Alice. I thought she would be alienated by the humor as this movie stars an African American man (Cedric the Entertainer) but she really liked it. I guess good humor really does transcend racial boundaries :-)
