Every time I watch the final scene, I always get shivers up my spine. The effect Randal McMurphy had on each one of them is fulfilling and optimistic, amounting to Chief breaking the institution with the same water fountain that Mac lifted, finishing his work. The manic screams and laughs from Taber echo through the room, as Chief and Mac's free spirits leave the ward and into the world.
