I think there might be levels to this film, in its credit to the original, and its desire to be its own.
The performances are phenomenal, creepy, daunting and haunting. However, its direction, although beautiful in means of cinematography, fall flat some times. The last act, pacing at its ready, becomes too long, and shallowly impactful.
