The Garfield Movie 2024
For some reason I wasn’t expecting much from this movie but I ended up enjoying it for the most part! The animation and visuals were very cool! The storyline was ok but my favorite parts had to be the ones when Garfield and his dad made amends with each other I thought the whole tree thing was very sweet. I also thought Otto and Ethel were sweet but I was definitely not expecting their reactions when they saw each other again. Also- Odie carried the whole movie. He WAS the plot armor.

The first ever cartoon! I watched this for an animation project and it ended up leading me down a rabbit hole of other early animations. The inverted colors was apparently due to the negative film being used and the result was a blackboard-like look. Story-wise it was pretty straightforward: mischievous little guy getting into trouble and getting saved by (I’m guessing Cohl’s) hand.
