  This movie was phenomenal. I had an extremely personal connection with it because I’m doing an art historical project on feminism and monsters so it was honestly an amazing example of the theme surrounding the “monstrous woman, and Art monster.” There is so much to unpack but let’s start with the idea that this older (but still incredibly beautiful woman) is undervalued and unappreciated for the art form that she performs.   Probably my favorite movie I’ve ever seen. Frankenstein with a feminist fucking twist. This film was full of life altering philosophical ideas that are hard and weird to grasp.
