Every shot in this film is so cohesive in creating an eerie atmosphere. There are red tones in each scene that makes the film feel like you’re flipping through a vintage magazine. The setting in Oregon with old farmhouses with 1970’s to 90’s aesthetic complimented the creepiness of Nicholas Cage character who was incredible. Some of the lines and choices he made with his character could have only been done by Cage. He’s getting better and better over the past…

The Vanishing 1988
Very shocked this got high ratings. It was hard to sympathize with any of the characters except for the girl who vanishes. Rex selfishly makes his second girlfriend help him search for his first girlfriend and she rightfully leaves him. There’s also no explanation for Raymond’s behavior and what compels him to kidnap women and kill them. The production was a bit low budget too.
