Relevant enough to be terrifying and outlandish enough to be funny. I loved the themes in this movie; first capturing a broad audience for its take on AI, it explores the nuances (and recent proliferation) of incels (and the fascinating way they perceive themselves and others), the normalization of an increasingly unsocialized world, and the throwaway society that we live in today.

Sophie Thatcher you are amazing
Really wanted to give it 5 stars… Paul Mescal bears an uncanny physical resemblance to Russell Crowe but that’s where the resemblance ends; I missed the charisma, the sense of honour, the reverence of his peers, the complex past that leads our character to this moment. There were too many sub-plots and not enough focus on the characters themselves. Don’t get me wrong, the fighting scenes were awesome (I’ve developed a fear of baboons), but as a whole it fell short for me.
