    Watched the director’s cut. I love this shit. Give me a movie that takes place in a dirty cabaret and I’m happy. Ben Gazzara is amazing. You understand why Casavetes had his guys he liked to work with over and over - they’re all amazing. And I think Casavetes does a really special job here, so many shots just jumped off the screen to me.
