  Really fun to think about (this is Lynch after all). 

  The Oedipal themes mixed with a kinda “kids playing make believe” Wizard of Oz type dream Neo noir world juxtaposed to idyllic town with the gardens and white fences is pretty fucking cool i dunno. 
  Really cool.

  Am i a little pissed still that the q&a Moderator didn’t pick me to ask a question, yes 100%.

  What drew me to this movie was the similarities I saw with this film and Children Of Men, another slightly futuristic and slightly political movie set in bleak old Britain. But I wasn’t expecting the deep character study the film had of how we as humans, accept, move on and recover from loss, tragedy and upheaval, especially within our existing relationships.…
