I wish I could say “I see what FFC was trying to do.” But Megalopolis attempts to do a million different things and fails to accomplish a single one.
The only redeeming qualities of this movie are a few moments of joy delivered from a drunken Jon Voigt, an over the top Aubrey, and a fully unhinged Shia.

The Substance strives to demonstrate how the Body Horror genre can both command physiological reaction and piercing discomfort from an audience while also providing a compelling narrative with an impactful message.
