“I know it hurts. No one asks to be left behind. But in a hundred years when you and I are long gone, anytime someone threads a frame of yours through a sprocket, you’ll be alive again. You see what that means? A child born in 50 years will stumble across your image flickering on a screen and feel he knows you, like a friend, even though you breathed your last before he breathed his first. You’ve been given a gift. Be grateful. You’ll spend eternity with angels and ghosts. - Elinor St. John

Elvis 2022
Baz Luhrmann is not digging deep in his film, but he imbues it with an such energy and an infectious style that really won me over. It reminded me of Oliver Stone’s idol worship of Jim Morrison in “The Doors”. Tom Hanks is really good here but it’s Austin Butler who is unbelievable in the titular role. Elvis is such a tough role to play and Butler makes it look easy. He really blew me away.

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The first half of the movie is terrific, but the halfway point where Peter makes the fateful decision to cure the villains is when this movie became great for me. Man, that second half I was an emotional mess. Everyone in the cast just killed it.
