Oppenheimer burns hard and fast across the 3hr runtime which flashes by like a thermonuclear reaction. Nolan uses his trademark non-linear storytelling style, throwing dozens of characters at us, the who's who of mid century brainiacs and political leaders played by the whos who of top tier actors, while channeling his inner Malik with impressionistic visuals of atomic structures, fission explosions and close up and mid range full screen shot of actors faces and Florence's pew pews in 70mm IMAX…

Welcome to Lumberton, USA with its clear blue skies, white picket fences and finely manicured gardens. Stop by the locally owned hardware store for a $22 axe even though it's 1984 and that seems expensive. Feeling a bit hungry? Then Arlene's diner is the place for you for a burger and fries or a slice of huckleberry pie. Terrible people doing terrible things. A tense robbery at a suburban jewelry store leads to an investigation of those affected by the crime. The narrative flashes back and forth revealing a tangled knot of secrets, lies and betrayals. Just a perfectly savage neo-noir.

A cool concept with a load of studio cash and no editor. Bong lays on the political message real thick and then throws in a bunch of bug creatures we're supposed to care about. I did enjoy the first half of the film and the quirky performances and comedic moments throughout but it never came together for me. More Okja(bad) than Parasite(good). As far as scifi satire goes it could of used more of the superior Starship Troopers style bug squashing and a Moon like runtime.

Paul McCartney coming up with a tune while waiting for John to arrive and it quickly forming into Get Back was the most exhilarating 15 minutes of film I've seen all year.

Had high anxiety waiting 45 minutes for Madeline Kahn to finally show up as the Hitchcock blonde and then proceed to completely steal the show.
