A refreshingly 'small' and touching family drama that's doesn't overexplain, overstep, or overstay.
A slow burn trip. The title screen ends up being a slow pan over Chekhov's arsenal as each item is used exactly once, and mostly in unexpected ways. Couldn't tell if the brief nudity was legitimately playing into the themes of a confused and distressed woman or just 'we need some tits'.
Way better than I expected. Clearly made with care and attention to detail despite low/no budget. The acting was painful. Just sooooo bad. But held up by really wonderful touches of sci-fi thought, for instance: each hostile encounter had the possibility of hacking the enemy ship to disable/gain access.
Looking forward to a part 2.
