  some of the visuals in this were enough to push me to tears. the colors and choreography put most modern day films to shame. cheesiness doesn’t even bother me as much as it did a few years ago. it’s the movies for crying out loud. 

  the blatant brown-facing and accents tho… undermines whatever well-meaning point it was trying to get across. it’s also so damn long. and i gravitated more toward rita moreno’s anita more than i did the two…

  this is a constant anxiety attack. jonny greenwood’s score volleys from pins and needles to such grace. stewart is sensational but most of you already knew that. there’s been discourse about her casting but after like the first 10 minutes i forgot i was even watching stewart. this is easily one of the best movies i’ve seen this year. 

  that last shot ruined me.
