A refreshing take on the "im a teenage mermaid" trope. Definitely had me squeamish in some parts, but I wish we had gotten a little more of the actual transformation. Even so, I was impressed with how realistically they were able to portray the metamorphosis process and the struggle to grapple with a body that is completely out of your own control despite being yours.
