What a wild ride. It was the most cohesive work by Flying Lotus. It doesn’t do anything new with the sci-fi horror but it gets a lot right. The sense of isolation and dread being alone on a planet. The score is phenomenal and reminds me of Blade Runner. The final act shows we need a proper Dead Space movie. My biggest gripe was the middle of the movie felt a little slow. It was stretching the run time without furthering the plot points too much. But it’s definitely worth a watch if you like sci-fi horror and body horror.

Black Bag 2025
Really lean spy thriller where it’s working on the script and the performances of the actors. It isn’t a giant theatrical event like Mission Impossible. Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender are amazing in this. The script really brings twists, comedy, and thrills.
God damn I’d do anything if Cate Blanchett ever looked at me like that.
