entertaining.. however, looking at this movie through a feminist lens i can’t help but dislike it to its core. i don’t find it empowering in the slightest, the power dynamics with heterosexual relationships were highlighted for sure but in the weirdest way possible. also so degrading??? the message it was giving was lowkey “no matter how successful a woman becomes, she’s still someone’s b*tch”. veryyy weird. also! it lacked so much depth, her trauma could have been explained or displayed more. maybe even his? but i’m sure the industry knows sex sells more than deep trauma that involves critical thinking so good for them i guess
