Dead Poets Society 1989
So powerful, so iconic, as trascendental as a movie can be. With the sadness and the frustration that the third act has, still that final scene feels like one of the most positive endings I’ve seen, bittersweet but still full of hope. One of the best movies ever and I’ll never get tired of it.

Robert Eggers, as usual, makes a movie that is equally grotesque as it is enchanting and original. The interpretations are amazing but Lily Rose Depp’s is just glorious; so so so over the top, so physical and expressive that many times could feel ridiculous but never is. A bit of the same with Bill Skarsgård’s vampire that feels so, I don’t know, disgusting? dark? Amazing?

Repentance 1984
It starts slow, but as soon as the rhythm increases a bit, the movie turns into something amazing.
The fusion between absurd comedy and dark drama works perfectly, not only because the movie knows exactly when and how to twist the mood, but also thanks to the interpretations. It's maybe because of this last thing that the final sequence feels so natural and reach the climax so perfectly.
So yeah, this one's a masterpiece.
