At some point in the movie, “our good King” (the rightful father of the hero) is killed by his painfully stereotypical Chinese doctor who is (obviously) a traitor. Therefore the King’s son (who is the hero of the film) becomes the new dictator-in-chief (under the kind gaze of the spectator, full of tenderness in the face of the heavy task the hero takes on: one can imagine it is not easy to suppress a people).
