Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods is the first partially canon movie added to the franchise and as such had to deliver a long awaited continuation of the original story whilst introducing new characters.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero 2022
Dragon Ball Super, Super Hero is a film directed by new director Tetsurô Kodama. Despite Kodama's inexperience with Dragon Ball I feel that he was still able to deliver a good movie and a new experience.
Many were hesitant at the new 2.5D (hand drawn over CGI) approach to animation as was I myself, however I don't think it impacted the film negatively and actually thought it provided a breath of fresh air.

Dragon Ball Super Broly is an exceptionally well animated and storyboarded film, with Naohiro Shintani as character designer which allowed us to see a fresh take on Dragonball's style far different from Tadayoshi Yamamuro's supervision of Dragon Ball Super.
