This film is a treat to watch. The seamless transitions between sets, the behind the scenes shots as the acts are getting ready. Masterful camerawork that manipulates the stage lights to amplify (especially during the Otis Redding set) the music. Sweeping shots of the festival grounds as people who will never meet again eat, smoke, kiss, and sleep next to one another. The RAVI set, The Who blowing things up. Jimmi making love to his guitar before destroying it in a crime of passion.
These are things that are not lost on me. Only crime was that it wasn’t longer.
